Cat-back Exhaust

Exhaust Manifold & Sports Cat

A performance exhaust manifold and sports catalytic converter are a great performance upgrade to help improve exhaust flow and power.

By directing the exhaust gasses more efficiently, a performance exhaust manifold allows the engine to achieve higher power levels and better driveability.

The minimisation of backpressure through the headers allows for quicker throttle response, giving the gas pedal greater agility and responsiveness.

The two options you have here is to go for a sports cat or decat.

A decat pipe simply bypasses this section with a straight through pipe. While the cheapest option, decat’s aren’t road legal due to lack of emission control. If you’re Twingo RS is only used on the track and not on the road, then a decat will work. 

For the majority of cases where you drive the Twingo on the road, then you will need a sports cat.

Sports cats maintain their primary purpose of reducing emissions however retain a less restrictive structure thus improving exhaust gas flow and increasing power.

Upgraded Camshafts

On a bone stock 133, you won’t see much noticeable improvements so it’s usually only worthwhile if you have other performance upgrades added prior.

You will get the best and most reliable results when your Twingo is tuned live on a rolling road/dyno by a reputable tuner. 

Aside from increasing the power and torque, a remap can also improve the driveability of the Twingo.

Some owners complain of flat spots in the rev range on the standard engines which a bespoke remap can overcome and alter.
